They use to be a quality tax firm but they have yet to process and finish my tax return this year. I have been an existing client for several years (before Covid) and my account was transitioned over when Todd joined the firm and then retired. I am still waiting for them to file my tax return. I submitted all my documents on 3/10. An extension was filed. Cecilia completed her portion on 4/24. I am still waiting for Ben to review my return so it can be filed. At first, we had a great experience with this institution. All of the people were very friendly and helpful, and we were glad to be using them. However, after we submitted all of our documents, I called to check on how my return was coming along (almost 2 weeks later and the day taxes were due with an extension), and I was informed that they were too busy to handle my return. Something has gone seriously wrong at Averett. I submitted all my tax documents before the due dates last spring and was told they needed to file an extension, but now 3 months later there is still no assurance that my 2022 returns are near completion. They do not answer their phones.

Joe is extremely conscientious and is willing to help get the most out of my investments. What is truly beneficial, is that Joe handles both taxes and financial planning, so he focuses on generating the largest return to reap the most benefits in all financial areas. Even in difficult times, Joe has made the best of my financial state. I am very thankful for his expertise.
