When my CPA sold his firm to Averett, I continued to use them for my taxes. At first, they did fine, but this year they have not done anything on my tax return after having the information for four months. This will cost me money in penalties and interest. They use to be a quality tax firm but they have yet to process and finish my tax return this year. I have been an existing client for several years (before Covid) and my account was transitioned over when Todd joined the firm and then retired. I am still waiting for them to file my tax return. I submitted all my documents on 3/10. An extension was filed. Cecilia completed her portion on 4/24. I am still waiting for Ben to review my return so it can be filed. Avoid this accounting firm! Since they purchased this company from Averett Financial in July 2023 I have not been able to get a straight answer about when my tax return will be filed. At this point I am going to have to pay penalties to the IRS for filing late even thought they have had all of my information since July.

Do not recommend at all. We've been with Joe for nearly 10 years. He sold the CPA side of the firm this year and it has been nothing but a nightmare. We submitted all of our documents the beginning of March. They filed an extension, but we are no closer to getting them finished in September than we were in March. Every time I call, I'm told we're in the que (apparently their standard answer based on other reviews), but then we hear nothing until I call again.
