My American Family Home & Auto insurance through Costco jumped up a lot, so I called NorthStar because they are "brokers" for a number of the companies that I'd read good reviews about. ("Agents," on the other hand, are captive to only one company.) Jim McOwen (whom I've never met) compared my existing coverage with all the companies they write insurance for and found the best one for us for the price. It is nearly impossible these days to listen to the radio or turn on the television without hearing another insurance commercial.
