Worst company to do business with. I sent two checks in Nov of $6k each and they cashed both checks. I have called over 7x to see where the missing check is because only one is reflecting in my act. Its now Dec 16, 2025 and they still havent called me to find a solution. At this point I will have to go to my bank and cancel the check which I didnt want to do since they have been giving me the run around.
Westlake Financial repo’d my car when I only had 2 payments left ! I was at work when a co worker came in and told me the repo man was looking for me?! I ran outside to find a repo man loading my car on his tow truck, I asked him what he was doing and told me he had a repo notice for my car BUT also stated that he was confused and had never seen a repo notice such a small amount ($200.00) !! I've been financing vehicles since I was 17 and I'm now over 50. This is the worst Finance company that I've ever had to deal with. They send you multiple reminders via texts and emails about your upcoming payment. Even after you've made your payment you still get messages about your payment. I will never use them again in any future purchases.
I have never been late with a payment!!! EVER!!. I asked if I could either, extend my payment to the end of the month. They only wanted to extend it 10 days. They asked for partial payment which I did not have. They representative was unprofessional and unconcerned. He did not even offer any options. I have made 29 payments on time, since I got the car. I often wondered why the reviews on Westlake were so low. This is one reason why. I will be informing every outlet I have access to about my experience.
My advice avoid this loan company. They had my information all wrong.in their system. I had to go to my bank to prove I make my payments every month. They still turn me into Experianas a late payer dropping my credit score. It’s been a nightmare. Calling the numbers, you hardly get a real person. Having anything handled by this entity is something to rethink seriously. It’s been nothing but a headache.
